Where things stand today
In our previous statement we set out, in full, how the withdrawal freeze came about and the loan at the center of it. Since then, the picture has narrowed to a single point of focus. We want to keep this update short and precise.
Every other position is now closed
We have fully closed and squared every other loan and investment position we held. What remains is one single position, in default — the Blockseed facility we described in detail in our last update. Everything else is behind us; this is the last piece.
We put our own funds in first — and no shareholder took a penny out
We want to be just as direct about what this has cost us, not only our users. Once every other loan and investment position had been squared, we put Cashaa’s own company treasury — and all of our remaining funds — to work funding user redemptions, for as long as that money could possibly last. We chose to spend our own reserves to give people their money back, rather than protect the company’s balance sheet.
Through all of it, not a single penny of that treasury was taken out by the company’s owners or shareholders — no dividends, no withdrawals, nothing pulled out for ourselves while our users waited. This has been a deliberate, shared sacrifice by our management, our shareholders, and our employees, so that the funds — together with the interest earned on them — go back to the people who trusted us, first.
Even in default, we are heavily over-collateralized
This is the most important point. Even with this position in default, the collateral behind it is worth approximately double the value of our outstanding user obligations. We are not facing a shortfall — we are holding an asset pool that comfortably covers 100% of what our community is owed.
The question has never been whether the value exists. It is about converting that value into funds we can return to you.
The plan to unlock it
We are now working directly with Blockseed and Bloq to complete the transfer of the pledged shares to Cashaa. Once that transfer is finalized, we will liquidate those holdings in an orderly way and use the proceeds to make every user whole — repaying what is owed and reopening the platform.
What happens next
We will keep this community updated at each step as the share transfer progresses. Thank you for your continued patience while we bring this final position to a close.
